Ever had one of Those days?

By
Real Estate Agent with FREEDOM REALTY

Ever go on a Listing appointment, and trip over yourself. Leave thinking to yourself, I can't believe I sell Real Estate for a living, and GET the listing?

The next day go on a Listing appointment and impress yourself. Think, I am good, and NOT get the listing?

Then there is times I knock on a door and say to myself, Don't be home, Don't be home, Don't be home, and they open the door.

Other times I knock on the door saying Be home, Be home, Be home, and no ones home.

Ever had one of those days?

If this is your 1st month or 16th year, Real Estate can be challenging and fun. Just remember you can't get all the listing, but even if you can't------You can still impress yourself.

Good Luck Listing!

Believe it or not, your post was inspirational to me, I have definitely had those feelings.  Am newer to real estate and it is hard to ignore all the posts recommending using only an agent who has been in the business for a number of years.  Wonder if they were ever new.  Anyway, all the negative talk shoots some holes in my self confidence periodically.

The second part... yes, the first part... no.  You have to go prepared... EVERY TIME.

Roger, I always do the best I possibly can … put my best foot forward. We won’t win them all … I do not believe we are supposed to.

Whether it's your first month or 16th year... I think the key is keeping at it.  The fact that no two closings are the same is part of the appeal of Real Estate to me.  I am constantly learning new things.

Hi Roger -- Being human I'm sure we all have had on and off days and surprises.  I know I have.  Some pleasant and some not so pleasant.  And yes, you have to always go prepared for whatever happens and than analyze it as to why and how; learn from it and move on.

And yes, Chis.  We all were new at one time and being new and eager can have pluses as well.  You will probably have more time to devote to that seller/buyer and hopefully you are in an office that works well with new agents and is available for advise and assistance which means the seller/buyer not only has you but a whole office working for them.

Have a great day.
