Calling ALL Dallas Runners!
If you participate in NO OTHER distance race this year, then you MUST make it out to the Rock -n- Roll Dallas Half Marathon on Sunday, March 27!
Why? A couple of reasons:
1. Troy Aikman is firing the gun that starts the race!
2. Breast Cancer Awareness - support the Susan G. Komen "Race for the Cure"!
3. Awesome Dallas course beginning at Dallas City Hall and ending at Fair Park. Run through downtown Dallas, the prestigious Turtle Creek area, SMU and M Streets until finishing at Fair Park!
4. Easy to get to by way of any of the Dart Rail lines!
5. You get some FAB-U-LOUS Race Bling!
6. Live bands at every mile or two to cheer you on!
and my favorite reason...
7. Bret Michaels will be the Headliner at the Finish Line!! He's on stage from 11:30 - 12: 45 (I should be done by then!) I'll be jammin' to “Talk Dirty to Me,” “Something to Believe In,” “Nothing But a Good Time” and “Every Rose Has its Thorn.” (Note to self: bring lighter for necessary "swaying with the lighter up")
I will be running the Half with my sister Laura (AND business partner-in-crime), step brother & sister and one of my BFF's. We'll be decked out in 80's running gear in honor of Bret's appearance! Think leg warmers, old school sweatbands, neon colors and big poofy bows. Can't wait! Yes...I will post pictures after the event!
