post update - 4/3/11
Well, the 2 week challenge is now over. Thank you all for joining the group and to those who joined the challenge! We had 44 entries and 91 different persons selected.
You can see the Gold Stars - Your Selections post to see a big “wall of faces” of those who got gold stars. AR was offline all day yesterday for some (including me) - so I’m a day behind in the drawing to pick the winning recipient of my one-on-one consulting time. I plan to do this later today... stay tuned -craig-
We’ve got our new group (gold stars) launched and we’re off to a great start! 30 Members so far and 23 posts! Now we need a little kick-start challenge to get this group into gear...
How about this - let’s pretend the AR system went all out of whack and deleted the list of all the persons that you had previously subscribed to.
Who would be the first three persons that you’d add back into your list?
These would be blogging rock-stars... regular in their posting, helpful, intelligent, witty, humorous, down to earth, or ANY characteristics that strikes your fancy!
Simple rules for this challenge, I’d like you to add their photo, brief description of their blog, and a link to ONE recent post that exemplifies why you like their blog. I know it’s hard to pick ONLY three (I’m subscribed to 162 so far, AND every one on that list earned the "subscribe to" click). The last rule, you must post to the Gold Stars group with the title Pick Three Gold Stars Challenge. (APPENDED note: put a link back to this post so people can come here to learn about the challenge and join it too) The challenge ends in two weeks Friday April 1st (midnight pacific). I'll pick randomly from all entries one person that I'll offer my blog coaching services via one hour phone call/remote session - spruce up your signature, header, background, profile, graphics, fonts, whatever you want to focus on in an hour's time.
and... I know you don’t want to offend anyone by not picking them, but you can blame me - say “Craig’s rules said...” and if you absolutely must, you can call a tie and list FOUR, but NO more! :)
To get the challenge started, here are my three picks, in no particular order:
Alan May
witty, humorous, informative
I’m nearing 100 posts and Alan has passed the 100 FEATURED posts milestone (that should tell you something!)
here’s a post where Alan outlines
Charles Buell
Charlie is a great storyteller and I also love the subject matter, home inspections
Here is a recent post - day in life of an inspector
J Philip Faranda
relevant, witty, informative, local to me...
Phil wrote this post recently, love it...
Phil posts very often also and always enjoy when he pops up in the new posts list! :)
