You Found the Guy, Now Let's Find the House!

Spring is in the air and so it would seem are weddings.  I have friends who are busy planning beautiful ceremonies for their kids and I have already helped several engaged couples find their first home this year.  Weddings are definitely in the air in Edmond, Oklahoma!

Did you ever see the movie Father of the Bride with Steve Martin?  A popular quote from the movie is " I used to think a wedding was a simple affair. Boy and girl meet, they fall in love, he buys a ring, she buys a dress, they say I do. I was wrong. That's getting married. A wedding is an entirely different proposition."  That sure is the truth!

Getting married is just he first of many decisions to be made.  There are the obvious things to remember like venue, food, entertainment, and of course the dress!  But don't forget, there are also choices to be made beyond the big day and the honeymoon.  Here's a big one.  Where are you guys going to live?  Where are you going to put all of those lovely Pottery Barn goodies you got at your shower?  Your parents house?  His apartment?  Probably not.

What about a home of your own?  I know you've dreamed about it.  Maybe it has a kitchen where the two of you prepare and host holiday meals.  Or, a backyard where you can play with the dog together and grill burgers on a Saturday afternoon.  What does your dream look like?

You have been so busy tasting cakes, hitting the gym, and fielding phone calls from your mom (she means well) that you may not have heard that now is a fantastic time to buy a home in Edmond or Oklahoma City!  It really is.  There are plenty of homes to choose from and interest rates are still at record lows!
