Quattro Goomba's Winery in Aldie is a unique addition to Loudoun County, DC's Wine Country. Don't let the name, which means "four good friends" in Italian, fool you. There's no goofing around here when it comes to the wine produced at this winery. QGW is a "unique micro winery that produces Mediterranean Style Wine of the highest quality." Unlike vineyards in Loudoun, QGW sources its grapes from many of the finest growing regions around the world and they incorporate old world tradtions passed down from the old country. Their wines are artisan-crafted and produced in limited quantities. Head out to the winery on Saturdays to enjoy live music form 2-6pm, featuring local artists such as Jason Masi, Katie Ribik & Logan Kraft, and others. The main tasting room, where the action happens, is spacious with plenty of tables but it still maintains its multi-purpose feel.....see the wine barrels right there enjoying the music right along with the visitors! Looking for some wine adventure beyond the usual sipping and tasting? Try a carafe of QGW's "wine slushy". Don't knock it 'til you've tried it! As always, don't drink and drive and bring along a designated driver in case the wine slushy tempts you too much! Check out the winery's website for information about renting the facilities for parties, corporate gatherings, and you-name-it. Quattro Goomba's Winery is only minutes from Leesburg, heading south on Route 15 at 22860 James Monroe Hwy, Aldie, VA 20105. Phone: 703-327-6052 Salud!
