...goes GREEN

By
Real Estate Agent with Gabe Swinney

All though these days it is easy to be assured that the Greening movement is only gaining momentum, there are those of us who still occasionally stumble across a little discouragement. I am writing this post as a suggestion to help us over these little temporary slumps. OK, here we go.

Just open up your web browser, go to your favorite search engine and type in, "goes green". And if by the time you get tired of counting the articles about big companies worldwide going green you don't feel some semblance of hope you should either seek therapy or a new career.

The list goes on forever and continues to grow on top of forever every day. Just searching those two words makes me excited for the future we are moving towards.

If you happen to try this little idea and come across anything interesting, and I am sure you will, please let us know.

My husband is a builder and within the last 6 months everyone is talking about green building.  Solar power is all the rage too.

I read last night that if everyone in the US just switched to CFL lightbulbs instead of the old-fashioned ones, we could close approximately 80 power plants.  I switched awhile back, and everytime I go to my local CostCo, I see people stocking up on them...which gives me hope.

Thanks for reporting on this.  I work in Berkeley, where this was all happening eons ago, so I'm glad to see it happening across the country.

Mary,

Thank you, I love that CFL comment, they do say that wherever California goes the rest of the country will soon follow.

The Vatican is even adding solar - 4,800 tiles will be replaced with solar panels of identical size, shape and color! Now that's an interesting fact!

Mary,,

I would love to have one of those tiles, I would hang it in the office as a sign of the past embracing a Greener future. How exciting!
