Technology Today!! Can you believe it?? And do you like it or not??

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Executives Realty

As my years get closer to a half century, it is amazing what the technology has been driven to.  I couldn't imagine what Real Estate was like more than 15 years ago when you had to search through books of listings like thumbing through a phone book for an address.

Today's technology is so amazing, we punch in all the criteria of our clients and BAM, there is the exact home they are looking for or pretty close to it.  We have I phones too, that is a computer in your hand to make e mails easier and now it is the I PAD, I don't have one yet, but is it probably the next thing on my list to get.  Sometimes I love everything about the technology and sometimes I hate it too, it does make our lives a little easier.

What do you think???

Enjoy, Duane Brown

On the one hand, technology makes our lives seem easier; on the other hand, it complicates things in ways never before imagined. This is true in every aspect of our lives which are touched by computers, including business. Can you think of any part of your daily life which has not been altered in some way by the use of computers?

There is so much info instantly available you can pick and choose what you need.  When I started in real estate over 20 years ago, the office secretary input listings and we all carried our MLS books that came out bi-weekly.  Each home had one exterior photo taken by the MLS photographer.  Info came out much slower, but word got out via the grapevine on the really "hot" listings.   I do miss cold-calling, I liked it.

No, I really can't it is in almost every part of my day, I am even using two computers at the same time and sometimes 3.  What a multi-tasker HUH?

The computers really make my children lazy too,  I have to kick them outside to go play, Geeeezzzzz.

Duane,

Sometimes it boils down to making good choices.  It is too easy to waste time on technology that is not productive, or to buy into sizzle when there isn't any steak.

It always boils down to making good choices, I totally agree!  My 4 year old is about to have a heart attack, because the computer game is beating him and he is very mad.  Time to make the choice and kick him outside. hahhahaha

Enjoy, Duane Brown
