What a fantastic day it was! Granted, 38*F was very cold. But all were so excited. I swear, it helped raised the temperature.
So the big opening ceremonies, started promptly with our official dignitaries. Among them, you can see Mr. Ryan Fattman, State Rep; Michael Connor, town selectman; Dawn Davis, town selectman; Cheryl Grey, chairman of the Bellingham school committee.
I have to stop and mention how Mr. Fattman has been so supportive and present in all of Bellingham activities. He does not miss a beat, really! And he always takes the time to stop and listen to everyone concerns and comments. He is one great guy!
Cheryl Gray is seeking re-election, this coming May for the school committee. She has done a fantastic job so far. I wish her the best!
They all threw a "first pitch" and did very well, if I may say!
There it is! My sponsorship field sign. It is located on the Trottier field. I had the chance to meet with "my" team. I would have liked to take a picture of them, but the temperature was so low and cold, after their first game, I sent them home. Pictures with winter coats would have been... well not so good.
The ceremonies started at 9 and following these, the teams warmed-up and played at 12. At 3 o'clock, everyone wanted to go home! I will catch-up with them, later this week. Unfortunately, my team lost their first game but they are amazing kids. They work really hard. It will be a great season to watch!
OK, I have to do this... This is my son on his first official mount visit for the Major league 2011 season. He did very well, if I may say. His team won their first game 6-1. Cam is a rookie this year. He has so much to learn. But I am confident. He has a great coach in coach Hoff. In this picture, we can see Coach Lafond, who has coach my son in the past... they won the trophy's league that year!
