I just received my author's copies of my latest book, The Everything Guide to Buying Foreclosures. This is my third published book about real estate. I am working on another book (its under contract, and due to the publisher soon). So I have been thinking a lot about the current buyer's market. It's all because of my busy writing schedule.
I have come to the following conclusion:
The buyer's market is good for the best agents. Working agents that can move properties will be in demand by those that want to their property sold. These agents will have no trouble justifying the commission. Sellers will gladly pay the commission. And agents won't even need to explain why they are charging the percentage they want. In other words, I think it will be easier for agents to get their commission, and won't need to offer discounts to get a listing.
Does everyone agree with this?
