A family member recently purchased a 50 year old home in Burlington. It is a lovely area and very popular. They were luckly to have found the property. This house needs a total renovation. The kitchen, flooring, bathrooms, bedrooms, roof, windows and yard need a major overhaul.

The contractors arrived a week ago and started with the removal of the wall between the kitchen, living room and dining room. This includes the removal of the support wall so a pillar will be installed.

At present the home has hardwood floors and they will have to be removed. I will do an ongoing saga of the renos. It will be interesting to see if they run into many surprises. One that has cropped up is the wiring. New wiring was needed before the kitchen installation could be completed. As yet we are in the early stages. Dining Room Kitchen Before Kitchen during reno

The oven is going. Funny thing though, the interior light still works, it is like new. My oven however, which is only 12 years old doesn't have a working interior light. They sure don't make appliances like they used to.
