Spencer Smith Park Skyway BridgeThe Burlington downtown is a vibrant place.  The main draw is Spencer Smith Park along the lake at the foot of Brant Street

During the summer months there are various weekend events starting with the Sound of Music Festival that takes place in June.  It runs from Thursday evening until Sunday.  Brant Street from Caroline to Lakeshore is closed off on Friday evening and Saturday during the Sound of Music Festival to accommodate the crowds.  Various bands play all weekend.  They play at three locations in Spencer Smith Park and at City Hall and on Brant Street.  There is a lot to see and do.

Spencer Smith ParkThe last event of the summer is the Rib Fest which takes place on Labour Day weekend.  This is the largest rib fest in North America.  Thousands of people attend both events.

It is a pleasure to stroll along the walkway beside the water, or go for ice cream at RC's or a gelato at Crema Gelato.

For dining, there are Thai restaurants, fine dining, pubs and unique eateries.  Something for everyone.

The new pier is slated to be completed this summer, which will add to the overall enjoyment of our downtown.
