Hey Everyone:
It is almost May and Memorial Day is around the corner. Last year, my friend and neighbor Mara Hartline organized the KILLER McDowell Mountain Ranch Memorial Day Block Party. My wife Lisa helped too. I just had fun. Well we are doing it again this year. So mark your calender for Sunday May 29th in the afternoon. We will post a FaceBook Fan Page for the party.
We plan on repeating last years McDowell Mountain Ranch Memorial Day Block Party on Palm Ridge Drive, but even better this year. Last year the food was awesome. Rich grilled his marniaded skirt steak and chicken and everyone brought their favorite dishes. The deviled eggs stick out to me the most from last year's party. There was an array of flavored deviled eggs including Wasabi deviled eggs. Not only did we have a chef(chef Beau MacMillan), but most of the food brought by the neighbors was chef quality too.
We had a big bouncy for the kids, a waterslide, spin art, and a snow cone machine. For those over heating we had a couple of evap coolers blowing. There was a huge big tent that we rented and put in the middle of the cul de sac with chairs and tables. Oh, I forgot. A little game of Corn Hole broke out too.
Rich and Kieth made over 200 water balloons. They hung out sipping beers and filling water balloons for most of the early part of the day. Later on in the day, we had a massive water balloon fight. Watch the video below. This was soooo much FUN!
