Today, as I drove my clients up to Desert Mountain in Scottsdale, AZ, to show them a new listing, I checked in with the guard and handed him a morning pastry. He said he already had my card and knew my license plate by heart. My clients were impressed until I told them I always bring the guards a treat - they tend to remember me.
The guard gave me the community map with great directions to the home (GPS doesn't work well up in the mountains.) We found it with no problems. Then, I started looking for the lockbox since there were no instructions in MLS - sore subject. I always feel like this part is a game of adult hide and seek.
Well, I found it - AHA!!!! Right behind the largest and thorniest of all the cactuses in the desert!!!!
So, I gingerly snuck behind the cactus straight into the waiting tangles of an enormous spider web from which the angry little spider decided to jump into my hair. I'm trying to get this pesky little thing out of my hair all the while mindful of that wonderful thorny guy behind me.
My clients were laughing HYSTERICALLY!!!
Seriously, why wasn't the lockbox just on the front door?
