In POCONO REAL ESTATE the absorption rate for the sale of homes is a statistic that many of us refer to on a regular basis. As a consumer looking to sell their home, it is a statistic that you should be aware of also. Your Realtor should have this information available to you when you ask for it.
As a Realtor we look for this absorption rate to drop, continually, especially in these economic times. Unfortunately, we are not seeing that. It started to drop here in the early spring but now it has gone back up again as you can see from the chart below. Let us hope this is just a temporary set back.
