Motivational Thought...Opportunities....

By
Real Estate Agent with Aubrey and Associates Realty

I have debated with myself all day whether or not to write a motivational thought blog.  Don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with writing these type of blogs.  It may be wrong to debate yourself, but that could be another blog idea.  I usually spend a few minutes each morning reading the news stories on the internet.  I usually browse two or three different sources for news, so I don't get too much of slant on the news.

The first thing that jumped out at me was that someone in the Real Estate industry must have done something to draw the ire of and editor at MSN with there article about 17 things that real estate insiders don't want you to know.  Nothing really new there, same old stuff with a different title!  At least they picked on home inspectors, architects and contractors and not just agents and mortgage people.  Still nothing that hasn't been written several times.

The other big story is of course flooding, what a late Spring we're going to be in for in many parts of the country! In the midst of all of this, I found a quote that was interesting:

"If you view all the things that happen to you, both good and bad, as opportunities, then you operate out of a higher level of consciousness."~ Les Brown

I found it interesting that quote came in an email from one of the e-newsletters that I subscribe to.  At least it was interesting that it came today while I was thinking about about the MSN story.  It is interesting to look at things as opportunities rather than any other thing, it changes the way that you look at things!

I must agree....I am in a position of needing to move at least 100 miles from the place I live...once I realized this would be best for all parties...I decided to take the opportunity to live out a dream and go near the beach...and start over in real estate.

I'm glad you won the debate with yourself because I enjoyed the read, although I must admit that I wasn't seeing too much opportunity when I was unemployed for six months.

Jeffrey, Way to go for it!  Where are you moving to?

Linda, That is very true.  Without a positive attitude, you're really going nowhere!

Michael, Very true!

Rob, Very true!  Our perceptions do tend to give us direction!

Kwee, Thank you!  as I said to Linda, without a good attitude, you're really not going anywhere!

Eric, Unemployment does tend to dampen one's hopes!

Well I am glad that you went ahead and wrote the motivational post! The quote was worth it! Opportunities exist even in bad situations. IF we will just look up long enough to see those opportunities!

Joni, Very true!  Sometimes we just need to be a little more patient to see the opportunities.
