The Ultimate Facebook Business Page - Day 8 of 8 - When Apps Attack

By
Services for Real Estate Pros with D3 Interactive Marketing

Let's look at what you have achieved in the past 7 articles

You know who is coming to your page and why.  You have the coolest facebook page in your town.  You now know enough to open your own Facebook marketing company in your home town.  Okay well maybe the 3rd one is a stretch still.  But no tears, we still have a little bit to get through.

Apps, no not cheese sticks and nachos, but apps for Facebook

What is an app?  It is basically a mini-program that has been designed to run in the world of Facebook.  There are fancy apps like FarmVille which is game style app and then there are simple apps like a contact form.

Why do I need apps?  Unless you can program in the world of Facebook, apps are great ways to save time and get the features that you want for your page.  For instance, one of the key parts of our new service QuickerListing.com is a Facebook app to show your listings on your Facebook page.

What apps should I add?  This is of course entirely up to you, but here are some ones that we like.  Some we have discussed during this series.

  • RSS Graffiti - Great for blog posts integrated with your Facebook page.
  • Pagemodo - Free for creating customized pages.  A good FBML replacement for the tech friendly.
  • ContactMe - A contact form for your Facebook Page

We have a number of apps in development now and will release them as they are ready over the next few weeks.

What are your favorite apps that you have added to your Facebook Page?

Chris, I saw that thoughtful comment from Patrick on another post earlier.  What a hack. Great wrap up of the series.  I think if people go and take a look at the Chuck Finley Realtor page that you created, they'll be hooked.  The difference is in the apps.
