In comparing home sales in the State of Washington for the three months of the year 2011, Whitman County saw the largest decline of 17.6 percent. This isn't great news but it is the reality of where the market is right now in our area and it's a good time for buyers looking to purchase to take note.
This information was compiled by the Washington Center for Real Estate Research and the report was issued this past Tuesday. As described in the report, home sales were down 4.6 percent compared to the same time last year.
Having good credit, and reliable jobs made it possible to afford homes with the present price decline. In addition, the mortgage rates, although slightly higher, did not make a significant negative impact on consumers with the previously stated criteria.
Bottom line, although the news overall may not be great for some, it could be advantageous for the right Buyer.
Buyers...It's a great time to buy!!
