Leave Home When Your Lake Charles House For Sale is Shown!

When  I go shopping I prefer to look on my own,  then ask for the assistance of the sales clerk.  Most shoppers don't like it when the salesman follows them around, it makes us feel uncomfortable.

The same principle applies for Lake Charles Home Sellers who have their home for sale.  Buyers do not want to be followed around by the homeowner!

As a Lake Charles Real Estate Agent I realize that circumstances will arise with a Seller when it is not convenient to show their Lake Charles home.    There could be a social event at the house, family gathering or an ill family member at home.  When these circumstances arise,  as a seller, try to reschedule the showing or call  your REALTOR to update the showing status.    Unexpected events or sickness will happen from time to time.  When an unexpected event occurs like  someone recovering from surgery or an accident with the home like fire or storm damage, the listing agent can enter an explanation in the MLS and ask for no showings for a specific time frame.

Lake Charles Home Buyers like to view Lake Charles Homes for Sale with their Realtor and be free to view the home and make comments.   When a Home Seller stays home for the showing it makes the Buyer feel uncomfortable. 

Lake Charles Home Sellers when your home is scheduled to be shown, take a drive, walk the dog, visit a friend, whatever you need to do to allow the Home Buyer and the REALTOR to view the home!

With a high inventory of homes for sale in Lake Charles you don't want to take a risk with your home showing!  Let the Home Buyer view your Lake Charles Home for Sale freely and alone with the REALTOR!  The best thing is to leave your Lake Charles House for Sale when there is a showing.

I disagree. I love it when the seller is present. This helps the buyer's agent get a sense of how motivated a seller is. Helps me write a better offer for my buyer....
