NYC new partnership with Seedco will help connect Veterans with jobs. Seedco is a non-profit organization that will assist returning veterans with job placement and better prepare them to re-enter the workforce. The program called Veterans Employment Transition Education Reintegration and Network Services, will connect veterans to the civilian job market, prepare them for the job search and help place them in the workforce. There are a number of major corporations participating in this program- when jobs become available at these companies qualified veterans will be introduced to those opportunities.
Veterans are paired up with a career coach and a fullfillment account manager- These partners are also veterans trained to ensure that the veteran get individualized attention to improve their marketability and connect them to employment opportunities and needed work support.
NYC City Council Speaker Quinn stated that "with the schedule drawdown only a few months away, New York City needs to prepared to assist our returning heroes."
