Short Sale, Short Sale, Short Sale

As many of us have seen, the short sale has been dominating many markets nationwide.  Expect this trend to continue for several more years.

As Realtors(R) we all need to work with what is available, and resale availability, while it still exists in today's market climate is rapidly becoming a thing of the past.  Short sales will continue to be the trend for the next several years and we owe it to our clients to be competent in negotiating this type of transaction.  If you are not SFR certified, become so....it will help provide a better understanding of the process and enable you to better represent your clients in the process.  Many of us have been running from short sales as if they are this insurmountable obstacle in our path that we can avoid because there are other opportunities out there.  They are not insurmountable!  We can successfully navigate short sales with proper training and understanding of what we need to do as Realtors(R).

Take some time to get the SFR certification and use it to your advantage.  As this trend continues, those of us who are running from short sales are going to run ourselves out of business.  Don't be one of them!  Get educated, stay diligent and work the short sale deals that are available, your clients will be better represented, and you will benefit from it as well!!!
