There is something seductive about BBQ and Blues paired together. The deep, saucy tones of the saxophone, while smokin’, just sauced ribs come to table under the semi-darkness of a great joint in Old Colorado City. I am referring to Front Range BBQ, located on Colorado Ave, in Old Colorado City. Front Range BBQ brings in live music several nights a week, and expanded their seating area outside under a tent. During nicer weather the flaps are brought up, and in the cooler weather the flaps are down. The restaurant took a house and converted it to a restaurant, complete with the smoker out back. The BBQ is the real gem here, I recommended anything meaty with BBQ sauce on it. You really can’t go wrong with any of your selections. Salads and sandwiches are on the menu should you want to stop in over lunch. For a full menu, visit: Front Range BBQ Menu. I will admit I’m not experienced enough in the world of BBQ to tell you it is Texas, Kansas, Memphis, North Carolina, or any other specific BBQ type, but I will say it is delicious. Looking for Blues to go with your BBQ? Check out the following for the month of June 2011. All shows start at 7:30 pm.
Front Range is a great place for a group, and they also cater if you are in need of some BBQ delivered for that special summertime party.
