Flood Watch 2011, Utah.   A year of record snowfall and rain have left many people in Utah worried about the yearly snow melt and potential flooding.  People have been sandbagging for about a month in preparation for the big thaw.  The big thaw has yet to happen for most areas.

Our spring has been cooler than normal but also wetter than normal.   Our local newspaper has a fantastic website where you can see live updates of the rivers all over Utah and their current status.  Many areas have already experienced mud and rock slides.  It seems the worst has just begun.  For more information regarding the weather and flood watch 2011 please check out:

I am afraid we are going to fall into that too here in Colorado. We are over 230% of our snowpack levels and with it starting to FINALLY heat up tis is going to be a major concern.
