Heritage Day 2011
This was a great event. This event brought a crowd of about 2,000 people who love and adore Indian Heritage - and it included some of my clients, too.
Hindu Heritage Day is bring celebrated in Boston area for last few years - since 2005, if I remember correctly. It was held at Marlboro Middle School.
This year's theme was SHIV-SHAKTI. From the website of this
This year Hindu Heritage Day had the theme of ShivShakti. Shivam as the male core, the powerhouse, the intense yet still being; and Shakti as the female energy emanating from this core – the illusion, the brilliant light. The interplay of stillness and vibrant action, of strength and beauty, of power and grace; of white purity turning into vivid colors. The contrast between the calm emotion-free state, and the highs and lows of joy and despair, laughter and tears.
