The rules regarding advertising real property do not prevent real estate licensees from selling their own property.
Real estate licensees who are selling "by owner" may place their own classified advertisements with their own personal contact information. It is not necessary for a licensee to indicate in the advertisement that the seller is a real estate agent
- But to reduce liability the licensee-seller should disclose at the first point of meaningful contact that they are licensed and disclose it on the contract.
