Do you know what photograph metadata is?
If you did then the ramifications of my previous Facebook rant would make more sense to you.
I am going to start you off with a visit to http://www.photometadata.org/node/19 where experts hip you to the ballistics that meta data tags can be embedded in digital photographs (ergo, people in Facebook tagging you in photographs that are not you are SEO search-able to you, among other things besides being annoying).
My initial grips about getting untagged are not the insipid mumbling of a tiny insignificant blogger bent out of shape about Facebook joke photographs and competitor visual spam.
Yes I know that if you click the remove tag link next to your name Facebook removes the tag and it disappears. However, the person can keep putting it back again and again and again... Do you see my drift? Do you understand my un-tag issue that needs to be fixed?
Do you also understand that if my name gets embedded in the meta data that the photograph is still linked and search-able to me?
I want to be able to un-tag myself from a photograph in Facebook and remain untagged. When I remove myself from a group I didn't join it stops members of that group from dragging me back in.
As for the photograph meta data embed fight, that's an on-going cyberspace personal battle every blogger should be vigilant against. In my case there is a white porn star named Carolyn Starr that sometimes gets mis-identified as me. Don't ask. It's just too damn stupid to talk about any further (LOL).
I will say that Black Hat SEO sucks... Seriously...
As a mommy I am not going to idly sit by and let anyone tag me in inappropriate photographs I have nothing to do with. You shouldn't either... It's not funny...
