JUST GOOGLE ME ....I DOUBLE DOG DARE YOU!!

Terrific post Fred.  I learned on Sheldon's post how to set up a Google Me button on my page.  All anyone needs to do is Google, Brenda Mullen Realtor and all my stuff shows up.  It's pretty cool.  Go ahead, go click on my button and I'll prove it, LOL :)!

I did!  I did!  Sheldon did a great job on showing how to set up a Google Me button.  Google Me!

Fred - I leave the oogling to Barrie he has the time and does it frequently to see how well we are placed in the searche engines ..... he even asks or gets me to ask folks like your self in different areas to check for us to make sure it is not just google returning local sites based on what we are doing online.

And even Google alerts will find when people mention my name now, where back in 2009, that just wasn't the case! Thanks for the mention and believe me, Google knows who you are!

Fred - yes it is but as I understand it Google also shows you sites based on your web activity so we want first time or occasional searchers to also see us in the top ten if not number one from wherever they search.

We used to get a lot of hits for people searching for "Uxbridge real estate" in other places in the world such as; Uxbridge England, Australia, and Massachusetts) but that has dropped off to almost non existent today.

Have you ever noticed when you do a Let Me Google That For You (lmgtfy) what it says on the page while you're googling? "Step 1: Type in your question. Step 2: Click the search button. Was that so hard?" The site lmgtfy.com was actually set up as kind of a prank site to give a sarcastic answer to people who ask silly questions. It has an interesting history but is mostly used now in the way you describe it above. Just something to keep in mind!

Pretty soon we won't have any use for words other than "like me on Facebook," "send me a tweet," "Google me," "GPS me," and "QR me." Notice how they all have "me" in them. Whatever happened to you?
