May 2011 Home Sales report for East King County Cities of Bellevue, Redmond, Kirkland, Issaquah & Sammamish. In May of 2011
closed sales down in King County, Washington down 5.78% from May of 2010(2,233 vs. 2,104) . The Eastside has an up tick in closed sales
. Closed sales were up 8.26%(678 v 734.) The median home price in
King County in May was $316,750 down 8.45%. The Eastside Median Sales price was down 4.49% to $425,000. In a sharp contrast to last months decline in pending sales, this month
pending sales across King County jumped up 43.52% and were up 39.15% (remember last month April of 2011 pending sales were down 22.52% and 15.59%)on the Eastside! This statistic illustrates more of the residual effects of last years tax credit.
Housing inventories continue to dwindle. In May active listings were down 17.35% in King County and down 15.90% on the Eastside from May of 2011. See the raw numbers from the Northwest Multiple Listing Service With a closer look at the

Kirkland markets the last few months for them have been very strong.
In Bellevue the Market Action Index(a gauge of market activity) continues it's strong showing last week shows 17.51 still a good number.
