I know this may seem picky but I have to make a comment on the $.29 post card stamp; Why are they Flowers? Here I am with the cards I am sending out for the 4th of July, beautiful blue cards with an American Bald Eagle boldly watching over us. And what stamp do I put in the corner, a pink Foxglove, blue Flax, or purple Lavender.
As I purchased my stamps I asked the gentleman behind the counter if there was anything patriotic in post card stamps like there is in the $.44 regular stamp, which happens to be a lovely flag with stars & stripes? After all we do celebrate several patriotic holidays; Nope, flowers or nothing. No Flag, Liberty Bell, Eagle, Statue of Liberty, or Minute Man; how about our Serviceman, anything other than pastel flowers? Nope!
I can't begin to tell you how much I hate putting these flowery stamps on any card I send out for those particular patriotic holidays we celebrate. Why isn't there something more appropriate for the $.29 post card stamp, which a lot of us agents use for advertizing, prospecting, marketing, and just plane staying in touch?
Am I just being to picky?
