One Of My Listings Is Going To Be A Star!

By
Real Estate Agent with Your Home Free

I got a phone call this afternoon from an out of state area code.  I never know what to do with these.  I take great pride in being accessible and answer my phone as much as possible.  However, I hate being burdened with phone calls from sales people who are trying to get me to advertise or buy something I can't live without.

I answered this particular call and had a production coordinator from HGTV's "My First Sale" on the other end.  She said they have a seller on the show who needs to go tour some homes that are decorated well and show the way a home is supposed to show.  I told her I didn't see any problems with this but would rather have a contract...can they bring a buyer through?  How about "House Hunters" instead!?

This is a beautiful home in a neighborhood with a lot of homes for sale.  I think I will get a yard sign advertising that this baby is a star in the making!  Woo hoo!

Good afternoon Tricia. How exciting. I probably miss a few of those calls dodging telemarketers and web SEO people. Yikes.

Randy, you just never know unfortunately.  I dodged a few that kept calling and finally had to answer and still was on for 10 minutes even after I said no four or five times.  I am just not mean enough to hang up!

Quickie, I already have a call into my sign contact.  We can't use the HGTV logo or say As Seen On because it won't air until August.  You bet it's going to be on all of my websites though!

We were selected to do four episodes of Property Ladder, and it all started just as you described (we'll be in reruns tomorrow morning on TLC).   My advice:  don't ask about the number of people who will be watching the show.   I foolishly thought that maybe 10,000 people would see the show every week, and on the last day of filming the final project, I found out that over 3,000,000 (gulp, that's a lot of zeros)  would view this every week.....  Can we talk: do-over?  <G>  See you in Hollywood!

Deborah, I definitely am!  Kudos to my photographer!

Loreena, it will be fun and I hope it looks good on TV.

Tom, that is too much!  There are A LOT of people watching home improvement shows...that's why our job is made that much harder :)

Tricia-what a great story, suggested. When your property looks its best, all sorts of people are curious and drawn in-sure, buyers, but other sellers, even other agents. YOU NEVER KNOW who is looking at it. Best of luck!!

Thanks Marie!  Yes!  I sure hope this extra bit of advertising turns into a sale for my clients.  They are just the sweetest couple!

Tricia,

Exciting news!  Maybe the house will see before the episode airs so the new owners can brag about their home being on TV!  Lots of Luck!
