Heading EAST for a lil R&R to Palm Springs.... Made it over the traffic and HEAT and into MORE HEAT! IT WAS 113 DEGREES WHEN I DROVE UP WITH MY FAMILY TO OUR HOTEL AROUND 3PM. CRAZY!!!

The boys will be golfing for four days and I will be sitting by the POOL working on my tan>>>> Yes, my TAN! I am not naturally golden ;) it takes work! HA!

THIS IS WHAT YOU SEE DRIVING INTO PALM SPRINGS>>>

My SUPER Favorite place to stay is La Quinta~ Waldorf-Astoria. They just recently bought it out a couple of years ago... It's a private, place that is like no other!!!!!!! It use to be La Quinta Spa & Resort and talk about a special place!!! If this is where you are headed, this is an amazing place..........

MY HUSBAND IS TRYING TO TALK ME INTO CLIMBING SAN JACINTO ON SATURDAY.... WISH HIM LUCK!!!

HI Lauren, I am jealous, Palm Springs!!! Nice....isn't it the wind capital of the U.S.? More wind power towers there than anywhere else in the U.S.? Thought that the Amazing Race kicked off there this last time around, among all the wind towers.

John interesting.... I love watching that show when I can... I must have missed the start of that one leaving near Palm Springs... (hope it wasn't in the Summer for them because WOAH! is it H-O-T!

(BTW~ I always thought Chicago was "windy city". LOL~

Tom~ as long as I was in the pool it was ALL good!!! and then when we went up the mountain (from hell), it was really cool up in the mountain 74-78 through out....

Keith~ thank you so much! as long as I was in the pool...it was fabulous>> that's where I should have stayed Saturday as well..... but NO! i had to go hike the vicious mountain...
