By

Home sales activity in Elkhorn Springs, a community in northwest Las Vegas, NV slipped in the 3rd quarter of 2007. Seven homes closed, compared to 13 in the second quarter and 10 in the first.

A record 61 homes are available (plus 8 with accepted offers), which equates to more than a 2-year supply at current sales rates. With so many homes to compete with, sellers may want to reassess their motivation. Unless you absolutely have to sell, it may be better to wait 1-2 years until the market is more favorable. Homes in Elkhorn Springs have easy access to the I-215 Beltway, as well as cycling, hiking, skiing and other recreational activities at Red Rock and Mount Charleston.
