Second Meeting of "Reading In the Rain" Coming Soon! Get Your Book and Join In.

Yes, August 15th is the second meeting of the new Active Rain Book Club "Reading in The Rain". If you haven't joined us yet click on the link and get started.

The only requirement is that you read the book. Well, we don't hold you to that but it will make it more fun for you!

This month's meeting is being hosted by Valerie Zinger.

Our first host, Ellen Caruso, did a magnificent job (check out the link for that discussion) and weren't those treats amazing!! That's the best part of book club.....what do we get to eat!

The book for August is "The Art of Racing in the Rain" by Garth Stein.

Shar, I worked the voting polls all day up at 4AM till 10PM on a local vote. Came home so exhausted don't think I can visit all my friends on todays blogs. However, wanted to tell you, while checking my emails, saw the library said my copy is in. Picking it up tomorrow!

And BTW this is my first book club, and it was so fun to lead the first month, thanks go out to you too!

Oh you must be exhausted Ellen! I was still #19 at the library yesterday so I bought it on my Kindle. Worth it....I started reading it last night in bed at 11:00 and read a third of the book so I am tired today. It's a fast read and I really like it so far. Being the dog lover that I am it's perfect.

I am VERY glad that the Sept selection is not in the RAINY Northwest....Although I was looking forward to reading about Folly Beach (SC is my birth state), I was reminded of the August selection when the NASCAR road race was RAINED out yesterday and will be run today.....Enzo was SMILING!
