Seeking to understand packs a mightier punch than seeking to be understood!!   I just took this quote off my friend Melinda Peterson's blog.   This is so true in life.   We so often want to be heard that we forget to listen.

Reminds me of the old story about how the most interesting person is the person who asks questions and listens for the answers.  Not the person who talks about themselves......

This is a good thing to remember when I am working with my real estate clients.  It is about what they need not what I need and if I listen I will be able to find out what type of house they might want to buy or how they need the sale of their house to progress....

I recently told a client that was having some stress in her life that if she ever just needed someone to talk to that I have two really good ears and promise to just listen. Sometimes that is all people really need.
