Summer Flowers & Prince George's County Real Estate 

There are 4,406 active listings of homes for sale in Prince George's County MD.  532 (12%) of the homes for sale are lender owned foreclosures.  1,681 (38%) are short sale pre-foreclosures.  50% of the available properties are lender owned foreclosures or short sale pre-foreclosures.

Prince George's County MD Real Estate Market Statistics:  During June, there were 783 closed sales, down 20.43% from last year.  The average sold price was $187,381, down 7.97% from last year, with an average of 99 days on the market.  The median price was $169,000, down 9.75% from last year.  Homes were selling for an average of 89.56% of the average original list price.

Dolores and I enjoy taking flower pictures in our home community and when we travel.  It is always a good idea to have a camera in hand to capture the colors of the season.

Good morning to all.  I appreciate your comments.  Just returned from my early walk through Kentlands.  Warm and humid and it will be a very hot day with an air quality alert. Prospective home buyers need to have plenty of water while touring homes and be sure not to leave children and pets in automobiles.

Anne:  Real estate investors are building their rental portfolios in Prince George's County.  It is a time of great opportunity for home buyers.

 Life is better when there are flowers to photograph!

Good morning Barbara and Belinda.  When 50% or more of the active listings in a market are lender owned foreclosures or short sale pre-foreclosure offering, the regular market is severely impacted. The competition is very tough for home sellers.  Home owners that purchased between 2005 and 2007 very likely owe more on their homes than the current market value.
