Occasionally, we like to highlight a local business that we feel is a real asset to our community and a tribute to family businesses everywhere. We were first referred to Delcarpine by friends when we moved here and needed work on a car. Delcarpine is owned by Melissa and Anthony Delcarpine and they both work there full time, watching over every customer and repair.
Delcarpine specializes in foreign, European, domestic and trailer repairs. They are full-service and do it all, from simple oil changes to total engine rebuilds and everything in between. Right away we were impressed with their professionalism, skill and ability to explain the problem to us in a way we understand.
We've been so pleased with all the work they've done for us and would recommend them to our friends, as all repairs have been guaranteed. Melissa and Anthony go out of their way to find ways to make a repair less expensive and have often called many suppliers to get parts as fast as possible so we'd have our vehicle back quickly. We especially like that they always manage to fit us in and how well they now know our vehicles and family.
In addition to their business accumen, Delcarpine gives back to our community. Since opening in 2003, Delcarpine has supported these communitiy members: Hood River County Chamber of Commerce, Hood River Valley Booster Club, Hood River Valley High School Internship program, Heights Business Association, Hood River Rotery Club and Wings Program.

Our son, Sam (our own "gear head") also loves to see what interesting cars are in the parking lot. He drools over the Porches, Mercedes, Audis and muscle cars. I like this photo (above) of a Porche because to me it looks like it's smiling. This is Gretchen writing, by the way. Don't want anyone thinking Mel would say that.
