On Feb. 13, 2007, the City Council reviewed two planning-related initiatives – one relating to a proposed process to update the Downtown Plan and a second a proposal to initiate an area-based planning process that will serve as the foundation for the legislatively mandated update to the city’s General Plan which is required to be updated every ten years and needs to ratified by Scottsdale voters by 2011/2012.
