Good news for the folks in Round Rock, Tx. Emerson, a Fortune 500 company, also one of the largest corporations in the world is moving to Round Rock from Austin. They currently have about 750 employees and it is their intent to hire approximately 125 more. They have approximately 60% engineers and had $21 Billion in Revenues their fiscal year in 2010.
They will be moving to the Frontera Vista buildings which is close to La Frontera (Round Rock) on the corner of IH 35 and Toll Rd. 45. The buildings front the Toll Rd. It is a 278,000+ sq. ft., two buildings each with 5 stories and has been almost empty since 2009 when they were completed.
The Central Texas group of Emerson is a process management company that offers automation technologies and products that are necessary to other industries such as oil, gas, chemical and refining.
This move made Round Rock go from highest percent of unoccupied office space to a regional average according to Jim Boles (member of Round Rock Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors). Welcome folks, I know a great Round Rock Realtor.
