So how does a Race relate to Real Estate Recovery? I am glad you asked! On Friday, August 12th, 8 members of my Exit team competed in the first ever Greater Statesville Chamber of Commerce Amazing Race sponsored by Davis Regional Hospital. Our company formed two teams of four to compete in this fun competition. Team Exit…Cuters and Team Extinguishers competed along side 28 other teams to finish 12th and 9th at the end of a long grueling day.
Our trek took out throughout Iredell County to perform challenges and tasks and gave us an opportunity to learn about our area and what we have to offer visitors. We visited the famous Love Valley cowboy town, Allison Woods, Zootastic, Fort Dobbs and many other local businesses. I know we probably broke a few speed limits but everyone finished in one piece (although the sore muscles were still to come) and had a smile on their face!
Throughout the day, we were able to meet some new friends, build teamwork with our fellow coworkers and spread the news about how our real estate market in Statesville is rebounding. We were the only Real Estate Company to compete and all eyes were on the Realtors! This was a day we could get together with over 200 team members and volunteers and let people know that we are having a great year and that there are many bright lights in the local real estate market. We are very proud of our teams and of our community for putting on such a fun event and look forward to competing again next year.
