ActiveRainTug of War - Marketing and Selling Product Versus Writing good Content--Wow...that is a hard one for me. I have been having an AHA experience lately and felt pulled between marketing listings and writing interesting content. I visit to comment and I have to say....more time than not....I leave without writing a comment. It does not engage me or I don't feel compelled to comment on a great job of marketing.
Let's face it....we love ActiveRain but the real purpose that we are here is to help present who we are and how we provide a better service for the Consumer. We have the opportunity to market our listings, to use technology for marketing the Web, and to share our real estate knowledge base with our clients.
How does that evolve to a higher level where we are blending a lifestyle of "living" and the knowledge of "how to buy good real estate". I've really felt that tug of war"" lately. Some weeks I market more and some weeks I just talk about being me...and living life. Well, it's a good thing, I hope.
I just accepted an ActiveRain offer to have another AR account as a Rainmaker and I decided to do it. I became a HUD Listing Broker not so long ago and my marketing is feeling the pinch. I need to get the word out about these listings and opportunities to the Consumer....but I also want to create rich content that tells about "Living the Shasta Lifestyle".
This new offer was perfect and I signed up. I now have a dedicated HUD AR account and I can market to my hearts content on my HUD properties and on my main AR account...I can be me. It may not be so cool for the world at large....but cool for me.
