An Evening with Bill Landry

Come hear the tales of the people and places of East Tennessee as told by our regions favorite storyteller. A PAART event held at the Palace Theatre on Main Street in Crossville at 7:00 PM. Tickets are available at the Palace Theatre, 72 South Main Steet or by phone at the Cumberland County Playhouse box office 931-484-5000 or online at www.ccplayhouse.com. Prices are $8.00 for students and $15.00 for adults plus any ticketing service charges that may apply.

4-H 7th Annual Livestock Market Show

Will be held at the Livestock Barn at the Cumberland County Community Complex during the Cumberland County Fair. Show time will be 9:00 AM both days. 4-H Project animals will show. Please come out & support the local 4-H Livestock Club by purchasing top quality cattle, sheep, goats & hogs for freezer meat. All market sale animals have been fed and cared for by 4-H members. Sale is done as auction. Serving ribeye sandwich meals from 4:00 - 5:00 PM and includes: ribeye sandwich, chips, drink, and cookie. For more information call 931-484-6743.

Kicking off Labor Day Weekend with a Fireman's Pancake Breakfast from 6 AM to 11 AM at the Fairfield Glade Community and Conference Center. Cost is $5.00 for all you can eat! After you fill up on pancakes, head over to the Craft Show! Vendors will be set up from 8 AM to 5 PM with special music by Dennis Long from noon till 2 PM. Call for more information 931-484-3722.

27th Annual Pioneer Day - Native American Heritage Festival & Music Festival

Plan to attend and enjoy the all day events of music and entertainment; plus food old-time craft demonstrations and sales.  The goal of the festival is to reach deep into our rural communities and encourage local craftsman, artist and seniors to share their knowledge of the traditional art forms and preserve the arts and crafts of yesteryear as we move through the present. Will be held at the Cumberland County Fairgrounds. Time 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM; admission $5.00 (12 and under Free).  For more information contact the Fair Park Senior Center and talk to Carolyn or Tina at 931-484-7416.

Do you have sensitive documents that need to be shredded to protect you from identity thieves? The City of Crossville has made arrangements for Ocoee Records Management to be available to the public to securely shred your confidential records. The commercial shredder will be available from 10-11 AM at the Catoosa Utility Department located at 5581 Plateau Road Crossville, TN 38571. The shredder will be available from 11-12 PM at Crossville City Hall located at 99 Municipal Avenue Crossville, TN 38555 and from 12-2 PM at Centennial Park located at 837 Industrial Blvd. Crossville, TN 38555. As a community service of the City of Crossville, there will be NO cost. However, it will be on a first-come, first-served basis until the truck is full.
