I've been spotted in the Rain

In May of this year I found Active Rain and found an amazing community of Real Estate Professionals at many different levels. Often I would read about sharing this community with others. I understood the idea of sharing AR with those in the Real Estate Profession but not other Mortgage Lenders in my area. I didn't want them to know how powerful blogging on AR could be. I didn't want them to gain Google rankings higher than mine. I have had many clients new and old find me when searching the Internet for various things. Google juice is weird that way. I know the power of Google juice.

One day last week, a co worker called me and asked how I was able to be number 1-3 and 5 on a Google search he had done. I had to fess up, I have been spotted. Apparently, he was doing a search for mortgage lender in Lombard, and there I was. He was actually looking to see where he was in the rankings with his own personal web site. He wasn't on the first page and he pays for his web site. So I am now sharing the wealth. They say give and you shall receive.

In any case, I would like you to please give Keith Hoffman a very warm AR Welcome. Keith is a partner at 1st Advantage Mortgage and a friend. Hooorrraaayyy!!! You're back...and brought friends! I've missed your blogs and harassing you! Congrats on bringing in FRESH BLOOD to AR! We're always looking for newbies to break in.

Susie... I have missed you! I have been just enjoying this slower time to take some time for ME and my family! I have also found even without blogging in the last month, I'm still ranking better than ever and still being spotted! But time to get back at it. Kim, I know how you feel. I have a good friend of mine Kurt Mitstifer who is also a Mortgage Professional and kept asking me how come my phone keeps ringing and I get e-mails asking me for my help.. I had to break down and tell him... He is now a blogging like crazy.

Kim--Isn't it amazing how well blogging works? Surprising results for those spending thousands on static websites when blogging just takes time. Good for you and welcome to Keith!

Kim; It won't take long to accummulate those points once you become an addict. That's great that Keith has joined the community. I have someone chasing my tail right now and I can feel their breath on the back of my neck. LOL

First of all THANKS! Kim has given me tools to start my climb to fame and has been kind enough to share a little at a time so I don't loose my mind or is it that she doens't want me to catch up...HHHMMMMM>

Anyway, I need to set the record straight. I am not really saying nasty things. As you know, that is NOT my character. Secondly, I am very happy to be here and loosing my mind with the the overwhelming things I am ready. WOW!

Well, I need to get going because I have been here for over an hour and it only 7:12 am on Wednesday. Meetings to go to & planning for Breeders Cup weekend in New York. Love Ya Kim.

First of all- what a great blog. I feel sometimes like I want to be nice and share AR with my fellow workers, but do I really? Actually I invited 4 workers to become members, but then they saw how much work it is and they opted out.

Second- I can't believe the warm welcome you received when you started blogging again. Kudos to you!

AR has tons of benefits, one of the more important ones is the visibility on the web. As you can attest. The way things are going, the secret can't be kept too long in the bag. Steady blogging will keep you as numero uno.
