The fields are turning to Fall, my Son chalks it up!

It is time to get back to what farmer Braatz does best; that is selling real Estate. The Jersey Steers, and the Hampshire lambs tend to take to my son Spenser more. The good thing about my lesson in farming is it really brought me back to Earth. The private six acre lake is out of view. There are also beautiful summer kitchens, and fields of wild flowers.I look at this picture and really don't mine wearing a suit now. I do laugh still when I think about wearing my barn shoes with my blue jeans, and forgeting to change them before walking in my office.

Hi Jo, How is it going?

This is a picture of my little Spencer about 4 years ago; has he grown since. I love that picture of the little guy kicking the ground smiling and the sheep and steer walk along with him. The gentleness of animals always knows that a kid is pretty harmless. Why is that? Are you going uo North to farm country? Let me know what kind of farming.

Be careful, and take care Sunshine!

Carole,

I do not know what is in the air, but the kid grows faster than any animal or plant. I am so happy the he is at peace with the animals. He is a vegetarian and really does not agree with the process that the animals are destined for. For the record, either am I. The Jerseys have big pretty brown eyes and are quite cute.

Thanks

Tom

Tombo,

Spencer is a handsome, sturdy fellow.....I love his boots, they look like they were perfect for wearing at the farm.

I was only able to take one photo at the property that my clients are buying as my camera batteries were low. It's the most beautiful spot. One acre in the middle of maple forests and corn fields.  Totally private and peaceful and with a wild tom turkey and a bunch of hens that love to sit on the porch.  There are puffballs growing under the maples in the back and a beautiful hill on the north side to protect from north winds. The Cape Cod house faces south over a farmers field and more forests.

It's another wonderful, sunny and warm day here today....the air is sparkling and the sky is so blue. The leaves are gorgeous and are falling everywhere....

Jo,

I must show you more pictures of the farm. Maybe I will do a post on my past Utopia. It  had fields of beauty, flowers, three ponds, I mowed trails so I could walk everywhere. My Rooster Cornelius would like it when I would hold him under my arm and go for a walk with him. I would also open the sun roof on my Volvo and he and Lars  would look out of it. At night the Steers, sheep,, chickens, Lars, Cornelius, and other creatures would lay down on the ground, It was so dark that the sky just lit up. I wish you could have been there for it. Maybe when we get together we can lay down in a field and identify constellations. I think there is nothing more serene than a lot of smiling, content farm animals looking at the skies, and winking at each other.

I was wondering how your day was, and I noticed I have not seen much in your blogging. I think your posts allow the reader to sit back and really enjoy themselves. Kind of like Butter Pecan ice cream. You just know you are in for a treat.

Jo, you make me want to be  a better man, and I think a lot of people get a sense of comfort with your magical gift of penmanship.

Yours

Tombo

Debbie,

I too wish I could go back to farm life. If I did I think I would have  some Plymouth rock, redrock, and  some white rock laying hens for the big brown eggs, I believe I wouls have some vegetables that I would like to eat. I may talk to a local vet and see if I could help mend some of the larger animals back to health,

Take Care

Hey Deborah,

I am going to post a bunch of wonderful pictures of buildings, my pet chicken "cluck", my steers and I in the hay room watching the rodeo (they had their favorites) and a batch of beautiful brown eyes waiting for food. I sure am a sucker for Jersey steers, they are so beautiful. Heck, I think snakes and spiders are beautiful.

I still have a spot of me that slows down out of respect to look at the lovely field of cows laying down in a field. People look at me when I stop my car and yell out "Good morning Ladies"

Just me
