Early Morning Misty Sandpoint, Idaho: Sandpoint Real Estate Blog

By
Services for Real Estate Pros

Got up this morning to ride my bike, but then decided people should know what Sandpoint looks like even on a misty day. The forecast for the day is hot and bright, but this morning is cool and the town has low lying clouds shrouding the landscape. We are a community in the mountains after all, so we live in the clouds. Here are the pics:

Hi Gary,

These are absolutely beautiful pictures. I love the misty, foggy pictures too and it makes you wish you were there all bundled up in a warm jacket and feeling the mist on your face. I love the RR track picture too as I have a fasination of trains.

Thanks for sharing.

Thanks everyone. In fact, though it looks chilly, the temps are in the 60s and the high will be right under 90 today.

Sandpoint was just named 'The Most Beautiful Small Town' by Rand McNally. It was one of five categories for the Five Best Small Towns in America. http://travel.usatoday.com/destinations/story/2011/07/The-five-best-small-towns-in-America/49573514/1

We are a lake town because of Lake Pend Oreille, the second largest natural lake in the West with 148 square miles and 111 miles of coast line. It is fed by two rivers, the Pack and the Clark Fork, as well as numerous creeks and streams, and is drained by the mighty Pend Oreille River.

We are directly underneath Schweitzer Mountain Ski Resort, named to Skiing Magazine's Top 25 Ski Resorts.

Just had to share.
