The Cat Conundrum Continues!
As many of you know that have been following my Cat Conundrum Series over the last couple of weeks or so, you know after recently loosing our Dear Black Lab “Moose” at the end of July, that not too long after that a furry little creature who we now call “Misu” showed up at our house and basically adopted us. And we have since then adopted him.
I like how Don Sabinske of Don Sabinske & Associates recently put it in a comment on the Cat Conundrum Revisited post, “Your Cat was a gift from Moose. And what a great gift! House-Broken even, just like your dogs."
I thought I would share a few pictures that I snapped over the past couple of weeks or so and show you how “Misu” is fitting right in at his new home. And no, I don’t always feed him on top of the hood of my Escape, he just so happened to be hanging out in the garage the other day and it was about feeding time, normally I feed him in the kitchen or in the master bath (his safe room).
We are just getting to introductions with our 4, 3 dogs now, and it is getting better slowly, but surely. I can now walk through the house holding the cat while telling our dogs to stay and the dogs are not freaking out, nor the cat, however “Misu” did give “Clayton” a hiss this evening when I retrieved him from outside because we had thunderstorms starting to come through the Northeast Tarrant County Real Estate area, when he started to walk towards me while holding “Misu”. I will be trying the kennel introductions this week between training and office meetings and will keep you posted of course with our progress.
We were lucky that “Misu” showed up at our door, but there are a lot of doggies and kitty cats that aren’t as lucky.
I would encourage anyone reading this to please visit their local animal shelters if you are interested in acquiring a new pet. All four, three of our current doggies all were rescues from a local shelter. There are so many great pets just waiting to be adopted at your local animal shelters. Please, please before you go and spend money at a pet store or heaven forbid a puppy mill farm or on someone on the side of the road somewhere selling puppies, stop by your local animal shelter and see what they have to offer.
Our four, three doggies are the best doggies in the whole world, they are like their own little pack within themselves, and they are a hoot. They all came from a shelter. Our local Doggie Day Care facility "Bark-N-Lounge" has several foster dogs, waiting to be adopted, matter of fact, that is where we got "Clayton".
I would like to thank my special ActiveRain friend Barbara Hensley for the thoughtful post recently about “That Darn Cat” and the special Cat Tea Towel as she called it that she recently mailed to me. Barbara, you’re the best.
