"All the fun of camping without having to sleep on the ground"..that's the motto of San Tan Flat located at Ellsworth and Hunt in Queen Creek.
My husband and I stopped there yesterday and were impressed with the food, service, mountain views and the ambiance.
From the wagon wheel chandeliers to the straw on the ceiling, felt like I should'a worn my cowboy hat and spurs!
Eat at the full service bar, a cozy table or booth or at the tables outside under the misters (in the summer) surrounded by mountain views, open grills (roasted marshmallows anyone?).
For an appetizer we shared the fried pickle. Not exactly healthy...but sure was yummy with a side of ranch dressing. For dinner, my husband enjoyed a cheeseburger and I finished off a mesquite chicken sandwich. Unfortunately...no room for ...fried cheesecake.
Yes, there were healthy choices like salad on the menu along with steaks and fish. But what's life without fried pickles?
Later in the evening? Live country music...so much better than the dead country music I usually listen to!
