When you are considering moving to Arizona one of the biggest concerns is moving your belongings. If you are considering hiring a moving company to move your belongings to Arizona or anywhere else then you will want to be sure to check them out thoroughly. Not all movers in Arizona are equal and some will even rip you off or tear up your home and belongings. I had an experience like this a little over a year ago. I used Allstar Moving & Storage (aka Allways Moving) to move me from one part of Maricopa, Arizona to another part of Maricopa, Arizona. During the process of moving my belongings the company's employees started out by taking several smoke breaks which they charged me for in terms of time. Everytime I turned around it seemed that they were smoking. Also in the process of moving my belongings they put holes in my walls and scratched up my furniture. As far as movers in Arizona are concerned they were very unprofessional. I also took pictures of my home and furniture right after they got done moving me here in Maricopa, Arizona and I then mailed the pictures to the moving company. The people that I talked to at the moving company seemed to be very uncaring and did not even offer to do anything about their unprofessional conduct. I definitely would not recommend this moving company to anyone.
There are several reputable moving companies here in Arizona and I realize that the above information only details my experience and may or may not be what others have experienced. However, I have heard many bad things about that company and I have not heard anything good about them. As a realtor I feel a duty to pass this type of information on to anyone whom might be a client of mine. I do not want others to go through what I went through. I think the bottom line is if you are moving here in Arizona or anywhere else then you owe it to yourself to be sure to research any moving company that you are considering hiring. Remember, not all moving companies are the same here in Arizona or anywhere else.
Of course there is one other alternative to hiring a moving company to move your belongings. You can always rent a truck from one of the many companies that offer moving trucks. Here in Arizona there are several of those companies. Of course, I would still recommend that you check out the company that you are renting the moving truck from before you use them to move to Arizona.
You might also want to check out the price involved with moving to Arizona or anywhere else. If you use a moving company then it is going to cost you more to move then if you just rent a moving truck. You will also want to determine if rates are higher depending on where you move from. It is obviously going to take longer to move from further away but it is possible that the moving company might charge a higher rate per hour or a higer trip charge from certain areas. If you are needing help to move larger items you will also want to find out what the moving cost is for that item. If you remember to check ahead and check your facts before moving then you will be more prepared to deal with anything that might happen during your move to Arizona. You will also want to make sure that you get everything in writing and make sure you read the contract between you and the moving company before you hire them and before you let them touch any of your personal belongings.
