WooHoo! It's Friday eve and I'm here a little early for Weekend Fun, Knoxville Style! I'm sure you're wondering what I have in store for you this weekend. While the Vols are away, Knoxvillians will play!
If you're near Whittington Creek (along Northshore Dr), do stop in for the Whittington Creek Art Show. This show starts on Thursday (10/20) 5pm- 8:30pm, Friday and Saturday (10/21-22) 9am - 5pm, Sunday (10/23) 11am - 4pm, and features local artists. One of the newest artists to join the WCAS this year is glass artist Tom Furman.
For you craftsman beer lovers, Saturday at the World's Fair Park is where you want to be for the Knoxville Brewers Jam. American craft homemade beer, music and food. Does it get much better than that?
There's still time to catch a hayride, or pick some pumpkins, or maybe get lost (only for a short time, I promise) in a corn maze. In Knox County, you can head on over to Cruze Dairy Farm (I noted their corn maze here), or if you're closer to Powell, stop in at Life Down on the Farm, on West Beaver Creek Road. If you're closer to Corryton, stop in at Oakes Farm for their corn maze and pumpkin patch. For surrounding counties, you can check for pumpkin patches here.
Don't forget to check out Scarecrows in the Park! Starting Thursday (10/20) night, the scarecrows will line the trail in New Harvest Park. Don't forget to vote for your favoritest scarecrow, you only have until Oct 24th to cast your vote!
Hope you all have some weekend fun, Knoxville style!
