Yep, Mattel has a new "tattoo Barbie" and I would love to know what you think of her? If I'm right I believe there is a Homer Simpson tattoo on her knee. I am not sure of what message this is sending but it is certainly sending one. jroosevelt@kw.com
Hi Janice - What an awful way to imprint little kids that tattoos are OK.
Think it is the sign of the times and a chance for the manufacturer to sell more product.
Richard, I imagine you are right. Is that Joel Osteen in the photo? he's terrific!
Janice, I find this unbelievably offensive and ridiculous. I heard it on the news yesterday and thought I was dreaming. Body art and tatoos are not something for children to make decisions about and if this Barbie is targeted to adults, well, what are the distribution channels? Tatoo parlours?
Janice, we see all kinds of Tattoo Barbies over father's day weekend...that is when we have the Motorcycle races...and the Tattoo barbies are all "biker - Chicks".
I personally do not like it and would not buy it. But I am sure there are many who will.

Joanna, some great questions, and I am not at all surprised by your response
Steve, maybe that is the market segment Mattel is targeting. Do you think?
