For now I am one in many billions.
Many billions have preceded me, and many more billions are surely to follow.
Should I be singled out? Not for any reason. But I have been.
Should every one of our billions on this earth be singled out? Yes! Just like me, all have been, EVERY SINGLE ONE.
Some things that happen in our lives are very sacred.
I think sacred things can be shared for the benefit of others. Some VERY sacred things are just that, very sacred, and therefore very personal.
But things can happen. Experience-changing things. Life-changing things. Things that change how we see ourselves, others and our place in, what shall we call it, is the cosmos a good word?
And when these experiences come our way, we decide - is this very personal, very sacred thing, something to share? Or maybe share just a part?
Let's call it a realization.
I wish we all could realize that we are, every one of us, each one of the billions who have lived, are living now and will yet live - WE ARE all children of the same Father.
And as children, we are cared for. Even through the bad stuff. And the really bad stuff. We are cared for. And it is all for our experience and ALL for our good.
Yes, that sounds counter intuitive. But it is not.
ALL that we experience is for our good.
And Father, like any interested, caring, loving Father, is very interested in our lives, as a family group and as individuals.
And my realization is that He is personally, very personally, involved with my life, with everyone's life, every day. Every day! And that said, perhaps hundreds of times EVERY DAY!
So the next time you are feeling particularly alone in the universe, one in billions, ask the question -
Father, are you there?
And you too might feel, or see, or experience that He is.
But ask sincerely, with real faith, and you too can experience the truth of that statement, and indeed, the truth of all things.
