Residents of South Maui have several options for Trunk and Treat this Halloween. Both events are being held on Monday, October 31, from 6 to 8 p.m.
Pi'ilana Village Shopping Center
Merchants in the Pi'ilani Village Shopping Center are hosting "Maui's Family Friendly Halloween". They will be handing out treats and goodies to children in the traditional fashion.
Music from the 70's and 80's will be played by Deja Vu to start the event. Make sure you register for the costume contest, for both adults and children, which takes place at 7 p.m.
Hilo Hattie will host the main attraction, Trunk or Treat, with 10 Maui Classic Cruiser cars. In addition, HandOn Maui face painting will be offered by The County of Maui Volunteer Center, the Kihei Youth Center will have games and prizes for children, and magic tricks will be performed by Timothy Went and Brenton Keith.
Radio hosts Makani and Charly of 99.9 KISS FM will be on hand to emcee the event.
Pi'ilani Village Shopping Center is located at the corner of Pi'ilani Highway and Piikea Avenue.
Kihei Lutheran Church'smembers dress up in costumes, decorate their automobiles, fill up their trunks with goodies, and park in the church parking lot for "Trunk or Treating". The church is located at 220 Moi Place in Kihei.
